Founded by Tran Nguyen in 2017, a Fashion Design graduate of Drexel University. Inspired by the "Women's March on Washington" in January 2017, Tran created her first flag and Philadelphia Sewing & Co. was born.

Born to Vietnamese refugees, Tran learned to sew from her seamstress/tailor mother and upholsterer father, spending her early years toying with their machines and tools and has since committed her life to sewing and making.

Tran has spent 18 years working and training with various design and production studios in Philadelphia honing her skills in patternmaking, sewing, and soft goods development, from high-end tailoring to furniture to industrial bags.
